Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Greet and escort customer to tables, sunbeds and bar lounge.
  • Excellent product knowledge of food and beverage available and be familiar with restaurant concepts.
  • Present food and beverage menus propose “menu du jour”, suggests entries, advise on choice of meals, wines and beverages available and ensure order is taken accurately and delivered within proper time frame.
  • Ensure sunbed are well arranged, hazard free and properly clean.
  • Attend daily briefing to ensure proper communication in terms of feedback, complaints, occurrence of the day, events prior to service.
  • Prepare tables prior to start of service by setting up linen, tablecloth, silverware, glasses.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations and ensure workplace is in excellent sanitary conditions.
  • Ensure proper liaison with bar and kitchen for food and beverage preparation and delivery within a reasonable time frame.
  • Ensure all required condiment and sauces are prepared before service and are replenished as and when needed.
  • Communicate with customers during service to ensure satisfaction and if complaints or queries may occur, take initiative for immediate remedial action and inform Operations Manager.
  • Follow instructions provided by General Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager prior, during or after service.
  • Provide professional customer service to ensure memorable dining experience.
  • Clean table, remove leftovers, replace required table set-up amenities, and dispose waste.
  • Ensure that customers are correctly charged with regards to consumed items, seek assistance from General Manager in case of uncertainties and report any anomalies to General Manager for appropriate action.
  • Verify that all billing procedures are accurate, rightly charged and posted on system.
  • Be well groomed, properly dressed in uniform and maintain good professionalism during working hours.
  • Be punctual, ensure visibility during service and ready to assist guests/clients.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are carefully followed and applied.


Requirements

  • + 1 year of experience as Waiter/Beachboy
  • Third language will be a plus
  • The incumbent should be an extrovert and be someone who enjoys the art of F&B service

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum SC
  • NC3 F& B a definite advantage
  • Fluency in English/French
