Automotive Technical Assistant

Our client in the automotive industry (Milestones Limited) is currently looking to hire two automotive technicians who can expertly perform maintenance and repairs on their fleet of vehicles.

Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair on museum collection.
• Identify problems.
• Explain automotive repairs and issues and report back to the Manager.
• Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems
• Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tyre rotation.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep the workshop clean and organized.
• Keep honest, sober habits and a professional appearance.

Automotive Technician Requirements:

• A willingness to learn.
• Good classic automotive repair knowledge is required.
• Must be passionate about vintage and classic cars.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• 3 to 5 years of automotive repair experience.
• Speak English and Creole
• Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
• Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be in good health as this is a physical job the may require heavy lifting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on-the-job training.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Follow all health and safety standards.
