The Associate – Data Analytics will guide a team of analytics professionals to solve key business challenges and uncover valuable insights from large datasets. This role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and coaching to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Working closely with the Head of Analytics, the Associate – Data Analytics will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s data analytics strategy. This involves optimizing the scorecard and business rule engine, ensuring they deliver maximum value by monitoring performance and driving enhancements. The Associate – Data Analytics will lead efforts to develop and deploy advanced modeling tools, automate insightful dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand market trends, customer needs, and pain points.
- Analyze customer and market data to provide actionable insights that shape offerings.
- Implement advanced modeling tools and techniques to support business growth.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify business drivers, challenges, and analytics requirements.
- Develop and review scripts to extract relevant data while ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Explore and examine data from various perspectives to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop, deploy, and automate dashboards to present key information and insights.
- Drive data governance initiatives to promote effective data use.
- Lead the development, testing, and implementation of scorecards, analytical models, and business rules.
- Provide inputs for the monthly Risk Analytics Form and ensure follow-ups on approved decisions.
- Continuously upskill in advanced analytics, AI/ML, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Share skills and coach team members to foster a high-performing team.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data modeling or related fields.
- Strong understanding of the financial industry.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in scripting, modeling, and forecasting techniques.
Technical and Soft Skills:
- Knowledge of databases and the ability to write SQL queries.
- Skilled in structuring data to solve analytical problems.
- Proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel (pivot tables, external data sources), and PowerPoint.
- Experience with statistical and analytics tools such as Python, SAS, R, or Azure ML.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver within tight timeframes.
