• Higher School Certificate with Accounting at “A” Level • Fully qualified ACCA
3-5 years` working experience in financial and accounting environment (experience in the hospitality sector will be a plus)
• Computer literacy including hotel management system such as Opera, Micros, Win HMS…
• Fluent both in English and French
• Able to work on Saturdays and odd hours as and when required
Prepare management accounts & accounts review pack
Performing analytical review
Ensure correct accounting based practice is been made according to Accounting Standards and Company’s Policies and perform audit
P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, ratios and KPI’s
Attend to auditor’s queries & participates in the smooth closure of quarter & annual accounts
Maintains asset register
Apply internal control procedures
Prepare budgets & forecasts
Reconciling bank statements
Ensure proper VAT and duties/taxes treatment
Ensure capex/opex is in line with budget
Negotiate / challenge prices
Train staff
Liaising with Procurement for effective purchasing
Ensure that cost are kept within budget & assist other department to control their costs through reports/ dash boards/ benchmarking exercise
Communicate to head office with regards to any financial/ control issues
Benchmark and compare hotel ratios with previous months and other hotels and draw conclusions
Reconcile balance sheet items
Update monthly cash flow forecast
Apply Uniform system of accounting
Seek priorities in capex and advise HM
Conduct surprise tests and counts to ensure no theft
Liaise with department heads to ensure productivity and control
