TotalEnergies Marketing Mauritius Ltd is looking for a Assistant Chief Accountant to join the team!
ACTIVITIES
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the potential candidate will be responsible for the following:
Daily Duties :
- Accounting of assets movements in SAP, maintenance of the fixed assets registers and follow-up on monthly assets capitalization.
- Prepare daily interface MyFuel + invoicing on SAP.
- Prepare weekly refund of my-fleet to Dealers.
- Accounting of 4 Joint Ventures transactions; and assist Chief Accountant for all topics related to JV (ESCOL, MOST, JUHI, JIP).
- Manage the accuracy of IFRS figures, ensuring alignment between the 4 sources (1) contracts, (2) payments, (3) CLM tool and (4) SAP.
- Take in charge Management’s requests necessary to TEMML’s activities (requests from Chief of accountant, Finance Director or Managing Director).
- Be the Chief accountant’s back-up.
Month-end closing Duties: To be ensured in due deadlines.
- Perform quarterly reporting to headquarters through CAP tool.
- Preparation of WCR and CMO reports monthly.
- Review assigned balance sheet accounts (monthly) – around 20 accounts.
- Assist in the review of all accounts reconciliation performed by the accounting team (monthly, quarterly & yearly - about 60 accounts).
- Contribute to monthly closing.
- Prepare monthly VAT returns and assist with queries from Tax Department (MRA).
- Prepare and submit quarterly KPIs to headquarter in due deadline; put in place actions to improve TEMML’s KPI.
Transversal Duties:
- Be the single point of contact of external auditor (PWC or any other one appointed): provide required information, request process owners’ contribution whenever necessary.
- Prepare Local Statutory Accounts.
- Assist in the computation and submission of Local Tax and liaise with Tax consultants for any relevant issue.
- Control and review periodic claim to MRA for refund of Custom duty on exonerated supply to embassies.
- Assist in the preparation of yearly Group Tax consolidation reports.
- Involve in preparing financial Budget data.
- Ensure effective implementation of Total Outremer Corporate policies and guidelines in relation to accounting.
- New application or IT evolution with impacts in TEMML’s accounts (SAP, MyFuel+, SIS, OASIS...): involve during period of conception, gap analysis and migration ; Assist in SAP Data preparation and validation for migration in SAP (when needed).

Requirements
- Holder of ACA, ACCA, ICMA.
- At least 3 years relevant accounting experience; in a multinational company preferably.
- Well versed in International Auditing & Accounting Standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations.
- During the 4 days of the monthly closing period, it is necessary to put 2 extra working hours (between 16hr30 to 18hr30), which will be compensated by time-off or overtime payment outside the month-end closing period (from 23rd to 10th of the month).
Skills:
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Fluent in both English and French.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- People management skills.
- Able to work long and odd hours.
