Assists in organizing the department according to management directives, in conformity to the hotel policies, procedures and standards.
Main responsibilities:
- Plans short- and long-term objectives in accordance with the Bar Manager.
- Assists in organizing the department according to management directives, in conformity to the hotel policies, procedures and standards.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, controlling and supervising activities of the section.
- Assist the Bar Manager in the setting up and/ or reviewing of the Departmental SOP’s.
- Deals with complaints and initiates remedial actions to satisfy guests.
- Does the follow-up of slow moving items at bars for remedial action.
- Ensures that all material and equipment are in good running conditions at all times and reports any malfunctioning for remedial action.
- Holds briefings sessions on daily activities and all other information with the subordinates in absence of the Bar Manager.
Qualifications and profile:
- Diploma in Tourism Management along with 4 years of experience in related field
- Previous experience in bar or catering supervisory roles is mandatory
- Understanding and adherence to food safety, health, and alcohol service regulations are essential.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills are mandatory in managing a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff and customers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial for managing inventory, staff schedules, and day-to-day operations.
- Ability to work odd hours and cyclonic conditions
