The job purpose of an Accounts Supervisor is to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

 

This role involves supervising a team of accountants or clerks, reviewing their work for accuracy, and providing guidance and support where needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and month-end accounting operations on yielding assets
  • Reconcile accounts to verify billings.
  • Review input information for assets and leases to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow up with debtors.
  • Validate invoices and payments.
  • Analyze transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatments.
  • Prepare VAT, TDS, APS, and other ad hoc tax returns.
  • Review the work of the clerk and provide accounting support.
  • Assist the Manager and management team with daily tasks as needed.
  • Support with ad hoc accounting tasks or projects as required.
  • Prepare cash flow positions, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Assist with audit and MRA queries.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and annual financial statements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
  • ACCA/ACA partly qualified (level 2) and/or having first degree in accounting field or qualified by virtue of relevant Accounting experience in Real Estate industry.
  • Minimum of 4- 6 years’ experience of preparing management accounts
  • Knowledge in Real Estate accounting is an advantage
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in group company is an advantage
  • Experience with Navision-Dynamics, is desirable
  • Well versed in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong expertise in accounting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing tasks independently and prioritizing effectively.
  • Methodical and precise in work.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Capable of leading and mentoring a small team.
