We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and manage our Accounts Payable team and processes.

 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and manage our Accounts Payable team and processes. This role will involve ensuring all daily transactional activities are carried out efficiently, including invoice processing, payment reconciliations, and staff expense claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key reports, and developing best practices to enhance departmental performance.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience managing and leading an Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of supplier payments, including reconciliation with bank statements.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Concur and SAP Business One/S4HANA, particularly in supplier master data management and maintaining a robust control environment.
  • Expertise in processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expense claims with accuracy.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial analyses, including aged creditor reports and payment forecasts.
  • Ability to develop and enforce policies, best practices, and operational models within the department.
  • Strong documentation skills, with experience in creating operational manuals and process guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve invoice/payment queries efficiently.
  • A proactive mindset towards driving efficiencies and continuous improvement in the Accounts Payable function.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and delegate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to implementing new processes and policies.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively within a team while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to financial controls.
  • Overseeing invoice and credit note processing, ensuring correct coding and high standards of accuracy.
  • Supervising supplier payments and reconciling transactions with bank statements.
  • Maintaining supplier master data in SAP Concur and SAP Business One/S4HANA while ensuring a strong controls environment.
  • Supervising cash payment postings to the purchase ledger.
  • Preparing and presenting supplier statement reconciliations and financial reports such as aged creditor analysis and payment forecasts.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping for all supplier transactions.
  • Managing supplier relationships, addressing invoice and payment queries both internally and externally.
  • Developing policies, procedures, and the department's operating model to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Documenting processes, creating operational manuals, and ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Supporting the finance team and senior management in continuous process improvement and strategic initiatives.
