Our client, a healthcare provider in Mauritius is seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer. The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
This role includes processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Generate financial statements and management reports as required.
- Manage the filing system for all financial documents.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes.
Profile:
- ACCA Level 1 or any relevant qualifications.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
