Our client, a growing company, operating in the reinsurance sector, is looking for an Accounts Officer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining Financial Records:
- Record all financial transactions accurately on the ERP system.
- Ensure all financial data is up-to-date and organized.
- Handling Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices and payments.
- Preparation of voucher’s (invoice) on the accounting system.
- Track and manage outstanding bills and payments.
- Assisting in making payments.
- Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounting transactions.
- Assist with audits.
- Expense Tracking:
- Monitor and record company expenses.
- Process refunds and manage petty cash.
- Preparing Financial Reports:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Other Duties:
- Prepare cashbooks.
- Support other departments with financial information and reports.
- Assist in addressing partner queries.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognised university.
- A minimal experience of 6 months in a similar position is a definite advantage.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with good ‘A’ levels enrolling/undergoing ACCA, or equivalent qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- Eager to learn and grow.
- Open minded and willing to evolve in a polyvalent environment.
- Pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Team player and attentive to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
