Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting activities such as data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and ensure timely payments to suppliers while maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Generate customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable balances, and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collection.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company expense policies and proper allocation of expenses to respective accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide support in monitoring budget variances, analyzing financial performance against budget targets, and identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, assisting with audits and providing necessary documentation as required.
  • Undertake special projects and ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Management, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
  • Statutory return filing (Preparation of VAT Return, TDS Return and other statutory returns).
  • Payroll Management (will be an advantage)

 

Qualifications - Experience - skills:

  • Bachelor's degree +3 in Accounting/Economics/Management/Law or ACCA Level 1 or 2
  • At least 3 years of experience in the accounting field
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft tools (word / excel)
  • Understanding of tax laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
  • Adaptability to changes in accounting procedures or regulations
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  • Reliable judgment for decisions suited to the most complex situations
  • Ability to work in a team
