The incumbent will provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounting Department. Perform basic accounting functions at the direction of the accounting staff.
Main Purpose of Job
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of various reconciliations, supporting documents and governmental filings.
- Assist in creditors' and debtors' control.
- Ensure billing is done on a timely basis.
- Ensure invoices are dispatched on a regularly basis.
- Ensure accuracy of invoice details.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
- To use computerised systems e.g. QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Outlook and databases, to input and manage data and produce required documentation.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- HSC with accounting as main subject.
Experiences:
- 2 Years’ experience in similar position will be an advantage.
- Working experience in a Construction environment will be a plus.
Specific Requirements:
- Good computer literacy skills (Proficient user of QuickBooks & Excel).
- Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times.
- Protects the assets of the Company and ethically upholds the Corporate Code of Conduct in all situations.
- Highly responsible, reliable and organised.
- Clean certificate of character is must.
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
