We are looking for a Hospitality Software & Applications Lead to join our IT & Digital department based at our Head Office in Mapou.

 

Overview of the Role:

The Hospitality Software & Applications Lead plays a key role in assessing, implementing, and optimizing hospitality technology solutions. This position focuses on Hotel Management Systems, Point of Sale (POS) Software, Back Office Applications, and system interfaces, ensuring they align with business needs and operational requirements. The role involves leading system integration efforts, providing technical guidance, training end-users, and overseeing application performance. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in SQL, RDBMS, and enterprise applications, along with experience in mentoring teams and managing IT solutions in a hospitality environment.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess business software needs and lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of Hotel Management Systems, POS, and Back Office applications.
  • Conduct GAP analyses to ensure systems align with current and future business requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee integration of hospitality applications to ensure seamless data flow across departments.
  • Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and departments to manage compatibility and API integrations between systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve system conflicts, and optimize software workflows.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and performance across all integrations and systems.
  • Design and deliver training programs, SOPs, and user guides to enhance system adoption and proficiency.
  • Act as the main point of contact for software training, support escalations, and IT-driven operational improvements.
  • Provide strategic technology advice to senior management, contribute to budgeting and planning, and stay current on digital transformation trends.

 

Candidate's Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in hospitality technology, including Hotel Management Systems and POS software are advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, RDBMS, API integration, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience in training and mentoring users on hospitality software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Flexibility to support users after office hours when required.
  • Fast learner with a strong ability to adapt to dynamic business environment.
