A Pest Control Technician identifies, treats, and prevents pest infestations in residential and commercial properties. They inspect premises, determine the type and extent of infestations, and recommend appropriate control methods, including chemical and non-chemical treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
ü Inspection: Thoroughly inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests, assessing the severity and location of infestations.
ü Treatment: Determine and apply appropriate pest control methods, including setting traps, using baits, spraying, and applying other treatments.
ü Prevention: Advise customers on preventative measures, such as sealing entry points, maintaining cleanliness, and proper storage of food.
ü Customer Service: Provide clear and concise explanations of treatments, answer customer questions, and build rapport.
ü Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of treatments, inspections, and recommendations.
ü Safety: Operate safely when handling chemicals and equipment, and follow all safety protocols.
ü Product Knowledge: Stay informed about new pest control technologies and products.
ü Problem Solving: Identify and address pest-related problems efficiently.
ü Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other technicians.
