Duties & Responsibilities :
- Organize for the transfer of grabs from yard to coal vessel and back.
- Coordinate for the positioning of grabs and hoppers next to vessel as and when required.
- Ensure refueling and greasing of grabs during operations.
- Contact and coordinate with mechanics for intervention in case of breakdown.
- Submit bunker request and manifest to Customs through MACCS – Bills of Exports.
- Attend Boarding of vessels at berth and at anchorage.
- Ensure that all required formalities are completed prior vessels’ arrival to ensure a smooth port call.
- Monitor vessel’s discharge operations and send daily progress report to concerned parties.
- Attend Port meeting.
- Assist in vessel’s loading / unloading operations including night operations when applicable.
- Reply and follow up of queries from Principals.
- Organise and assist for delivery of Cash to Master.
- Update vessel schedule/berthing prospect/ Expected departure.
- Prepare and submit Proforma Disbursement Account.
- Ensure that all invoices are received timely from all the service providers.
- Release Delivery Order to Receivers against presentation of OBL / Letter of Indemnity and against payment of all charges.
- Any other duties as may be directed by Manager.
Qualification & Competencies:
- Diploma in Logistics or any acceptable qualifications by the Management.
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar position.
- Knowledge of Shipping procedures would be an advantage.
- Computer literate (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong personality with excellent communication skills in both English and French.
- Should be creative, team player, proactive, resourceful and demonstrate professionalism.
- Be dynamic and with a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
- Ready to work odd hours and during week ends/public holidays.
- Holder of valid driving license for motorcycle and car.
