PEX Ltd is seeking to recruit competent, committed and self-motivated candidates for the post of Engineer Technical
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, implement, and oversee changes to systems related to card associations and payment processes.
- Verify and manage daily automation tasks, including report generation, system checks, and other key deliverables.
- Design and implement new processes, including automation of workflows, and development of new reporting structures.
- Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring thorough quality assurance (QA) before delivering final solutions to clients.
- Research, test, and develop new software programs and reports tailored to the company’s requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues promptly, providing solutions that enhance the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of production incidents.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure systems meet compliance and security standards, especially related to sensitive financial data.
- Provide technical training and support to internal teams and customers to ensure efficient use of the company’s software and tools.
- Document processes and system changes thoroughly, ensuring clear communication and reference for future system updates or troubleshooting.
- Manage system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to services while maintaining up-to-date infrastructure.
- Lead technical projects and initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful completion of tasks.
- Continuously improve processes through automation, innovation, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualification:
- BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or any IT-related field.
- Fundamental understanding of SQL, Java, other programming languages, and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages like JAVA, Python, Bash, or PowerShell would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Jasper iReport Developer and BI reporting tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies is a plus.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Knowledge in fintech and banking industries is advantageous.
- Previous experience in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues would be an advantage.
- Experience with API integrations, microservices architecture, and web services is preferred.
- Familiarity with security best practices in financial services and data protection compliance (e.g., PCI DSS) will be a plus.
- Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
