We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Officer to assist in our sales department. The responsibilities of the Account Officer include keeping financial records up to date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts.
Duties and responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payments on time ( internet banking, cheque, others).
- Check invoices for inaccuracies.
- Reconcile accounts with the general ledger.
- Handle general account queries.
- Contact clients about invoices that are past due.
- Maintain and reconcile cash flow records.
- Prepare or assist in the perparation of various reconciliations, supporting documents and governmental filings.
- To use computerised system e.g Sage, Excel, etc
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be asssigned.
Skills and Qualifications required
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA Level 2.
- Sound Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Good Computer literacy skill.
- Always maintain appropriate company confidentiality.
- Highly responsible, reliable and organised.
- Clean certificate of character is a must.
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as a team.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similiar position would be an advantage.
- Previous work experience in a Travel Agency will also be an advanatage.
