NCBP is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director to lead and oversee all clinical strategy and operations within our healthcare facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIIES:
•Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical care across all departments, with active involvement in clinical quality improvement initiatives.
•Supervise employed RMO and maintain collaborative relationships with independent/private physicians ensuring alignment with the clinic’s standards.
•Oversee the pharmacy operations in coordination with the head of Pharmacist to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant medication management practices.
•Monitor and analyze medical incidents and near-misses in collaboration with the Patient Experience to implement preventive actions and enhance patient safety.
•Ensure the clinic complies with national health regulations, licensing standards, and accreditation requirements.
•Contribute to the strategic planning of clinical services and help shape the medical direction of the clinic in alignment with its mission and goals.
•Promote continuous education and professional development for medical staff
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
·Medical degree (MD or DO) from a recognised institution.
·Active medical license and certification to practice medicine.
·Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or administrative role within a healthcare setting.
·Proven experience in medical management and administration.
OTHER PREREQUISITES:
·Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, medical policies and practices specially in Mauritius.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
·Experience in developing and implementing clinical protocols.
·Knowledge of healthcare financial management.
·Proficiency in healthcare information systems and technologies.
·Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse medical team
