 Position Objective

• The primary objective is to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and seamless operation of all aspects related to sourcing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.
• To lead the Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain team and take an autonomous stand on the operations.
• Drive organizational success by optimizing supplier relationships, managing inventory effectively, reducing costs, ensuring quality standards, and streamlining logistics and distribution processes. The goal is to create a robust and agile supply chain that meets the organization's strategic objectives while adhering to compliance, ethics, and industry best practices.

 Strategic Procurement

• Contribute to the development of overall business strategies.
• Provide input on how procurement and supply chain activities can support organizational goals.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to recommend strategic changes.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective sourcing strategies.

 Procurement

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery considerations.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives in procurement and supply chain operations.
• Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and financial targets.

 Store & Inventory Management

• Ensure minimum stock of spare parts availability to cater for proper upkeep of equipment.
• Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring adequate supply.
• Implement inventory control measures to reduce stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Develop processes for efficient warehousing and logistics.
• Ensure that stock inventory is conducted and report on any deviations found regularly.
• Ensure that total stock value is being maintained as per set KPIs.

 Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• Efficiently plan, organize and manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Planning and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure timely customs clearance to avoid delays in the import/export of goods.
• Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns.
• Achieve a high order fulfillment rate by accurately forecasting demand and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet customer orders.
• Achieve high on-time delivery rates by closely monitoring transportation schedules, managing production lead times, import/exports and addressing any bottlenecks in the supply chain.

 Risk Management

• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions

 Quality & Customer Service

• Establish quality standards for purchased goods and services.
• Liaising with departments daily to understand their demands and agree on how the department may respond to such demands
• Monitor and enforce quality control processes throughout the supply chain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Ensuring that procedures are communicated and strictly followed by everyone to satisfy external & internal customers’ requirements.
• Continuously review and improve procurement, logistics and supply chain processes.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional teams for process optimization projects.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to track the progress of orders and address any issues or concerns.

 Data Analysis and Reporting

• Collect and analyze data related to procurement and supply chain performance.
• Generate regular reports on key metrics such as supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory levels.
• Use data insights to make data-driven decisions and recommendations 

Leadership And Management 

To lead and manage the team to have fully competent and motivated employees who will fully achieve the Department’s objectives by:

• Setting clear objectives for subordinates, delegating, and following up tasks assigned and developing medium- and short-term action plans for the department that satisfy the company’s vision and objectives for that period. 
• Evaluating subordinates on a regular basis to know whether set objectives are being attained and what new objectives need to be set.
• Organizing regular meetings with teams on projects’ follow ups, action plans set to achieve departmental objectives and actions required to improve performance of departments.
• Inspiring his team towards common goals and improved results, ensuring good industrial relations, and fostering effective teamwork.
• Managing and rewarding performance fairly and effectively.

Compliance And Ethics

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in procurement activities.
• Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines.

Health And Safety  

To follow up on all Health and Safety rules, regulations, and policies to ensure that all employees adhere to a high level of safety and health by:  

• Ensuring that Safety and Health Policies and Procedures are documented and communicated to everyone concerned (Employees and subcontractors) and that they are strictly followed.  
• Making sure that Safety and Health remains the utmost priority for the department and sensitizing staff and employees regularly on its importance.  
• Monitoring Safety and Health norms and regulations   

 QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training  

• BSc in Logistic/Supply chain Management/Procurement or relevant field

 Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training   

• MSc in Logistic/Supply chain Management/Procurement or relevant field would be an advantage
• CIPS

Minimum Experience           

• At least 5 years in a similar position
