We are looking for a Head of Acquisition and Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and customer acquisition strategies. The ideal candidate shall have extensive senior management experience in iGaming, strong digital marketing skills, and related knowledge of the African market.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing and Customer Acquisition roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity, preferably in the iGaming, online gambling, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing comprehensive SEO, Online Marketing, Social Media, Offline Marketing strategies, with an understanding of local marketing approaches for the African marketplace.
  • Strong understanding of Offline Marketing strategies in the African market.
  • Experience in Paid Ads and/or a solid understanding of how online ads function, particularly in relation to Google and Meta Ads and PPC (Pay-Per-Click).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multifunctional teams, with experience in fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics tools to measure performance and derive actionable insights from data.
  • Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with the African region's diverse cultures and market dynamics, with experience in tailoring marketing strategies to meet the unique preferences of local audiences.
  • Adaptable Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present strategies and results to Executive Leadership team and other stakeholders.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and French (Written and Verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software.
  • May be required to travel abroad.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership:

Design and Execute Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a data-driven marketing plan targeting customer acquisition, and brand enhancement in the African region, ensuring all initiatives resonate with local markets and cultures.


Market Analysis and Insight: Analyse emerging trends, competitor behavior, emerging technologies, and behavioral changes among potential customers, to promote growth opportunities and innovation in the marketing strategies. Adapt campaigns to leverage local insights and preferences.


Optimising Financial Performance Through Strategic Marketing Alignment: Develop and manage a budget-focused P&L report, ensuring that the marketing plan is strategically aligned with financial goals, and maximize return on investment (ROI) for every resource allocated.

  • Customer Acquisition:

Multi-Channel Campaign Management: Design and oversee cross-channel marketing campaigns across digital platforms (“Search Engine Optimization” SEO, “Pay-Per-Click” PPC, Social Media, Google Ads, Content Marketing) and offline platforms aimed at attracting new players and increasing brand visibility.


Optimisation of Conversion Channels: Analyse customer journeys and optimise conversion funnels to enhance user experience and maximise acquisition rates.

  • Leadership of Key Departments:

Leadership:Lead multiple key departments, including SEO, Online Marketing , Social Media Strategy, and Offline Marketing, ensuring cohesive strategies are developed and executed effectively across all channels.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

KPI Setting and Tracking: Establish performance indicators and reporting systems for all marketing efforts. Regularly analyse campaign efficacy and customer behavior data to optimise strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.

Budget Oversight: Develop, manage, and allocate the marketing budget effectively across all departments to maximize ROI. Conduct regular audits of spending and adjust tactics based on performance analysis.

  • Team Development and Collaboration:

Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability, enabling team members to thrive and deliver exceptional results.


Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Product Development, Customer Service, and Compliance to ensure strategic alignment and enhance customer experience through all touchpoints.


Brand Building and Compliance:

Brand Positioning: Further establish and strengthen STM's brand identity as a market leader in the iGaming industry, ensuring all marketing initiatives reflect brand values and comply with regulatory standards countries and markets STM operates.


Responsible Gaming Advocacy: Be the champion responsible for gaming practices in all marketing activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and ethical standards while promoting safe gaming experiences.
