The Site Manager (Electrical) is responsible for overseeing all on-site electrical works during the construction of solar PV projects. 
Reporting to the Construction Team Manager, he will coordinate with subcontractors, Project Managers, and PV Engineers to ensure that electrical installations are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standards. 
The role covers the full execution phase from mobilization to commissioning and energization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site electrical installation activities, including cabling, switchgear installation, and grid interconnection
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems specific to PV plants, such as PV modules, inverters, transformers, SCADA systems, weather monitoring stations, and communication infrastructure
  • Ensure that all electrical works are performed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and project specifications
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project schedule and quality expectations
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality checks for electrical works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and technical standards
  • Ensure safe work practices are enforced on-site, particularly regarding electrical safety
  • Manage material deliveries, track installation progress, and maintain accurate records of site activities
  • Coordinate with PV Engineers, Project Managers, and the Engineering Manager on testing, commissioning, and energization plans
  • Identify and escalate technical or logistical issues that may impact progress or quality
  • Support in the preparation and review of as-built drawings, test reports, and handover documentation
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager (Civil & Structural) and other discipline leads to ensure seamless construction execution across workstreams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in on-site electrical works for solar PV or similar infrastructure projects
  • Relevant health, safety, or electrical site supervision certifications (e.g., HV/LV authorization, HSE certifications)
  • Solid understanding of LV, MV, and HV systems (up to 66kV), with hands-on experience in installation and commissioning
  • Familiarity with PV plant systems including inverters, transformers, SCADA, metering, and weather monitoring
  • Good knowledge of electrical codes, grid compliance standards, and safety regulations
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate with utilities, and ensure quality and timely delivery
