Be responsible for planning, development and delivery of training programmes for Constance Hospitaltiy Management Limited staff and external customers. Prepare pre-training and post-training reports as requested by the Training Centre Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities.
- Conduct training needs in respective field of training
- Design and deliver training in the relevant field of competence for our internal and external partners.
- Provide course content, course plan, session plan, course costing, training support materials to Training Centre Manager for review prior to each training.
- Prepare training materials and training room for workshop activities.
- Establish clear objectives for all workshops, activities and projects, and communicate those objectives to participants.
- Establish and enforce a classroom code of conduct to maintain a positive learning environment for participants during all workshop activities.
- Monitor student attendance and provide progress report to Training Centre Manager as and when required
- Be responsible for his/her respective class including and not limited to finding replacement trainers in case you cannot attend a class
- Follow-up student progress in work placement
- Be responsible for coordinating respective exams and provide reports to the Training Centre Manager as and when required
- Collaborate with the administrative Assistant in matters relating to course fees, uniforms, events and any task where communication with respective students are required
- Conduct student orientation & develop induction plan for new students joining the CHTC.
- Prepare reports for the management as requested
- Update CHTC’s Training Management System
- Liaise with the Awarding and Regulatory Bodies
- Liaise with the awarding bodies and ensures that all courses are delivered according to respective curriculum documents.
- Follow existing curriculum, develop new curriculum or update existing materials to meet the needs of participants wherever applicable.
- Liaise with respective awarding bodies with regards to assessment, evaluation and exams requirement.
- Coordinate and ensure the proper setting up of exams as per requirement of awarding body.
- Produce and keep relevant documents as required by awarding and regulatory bodies.
- Keep up to date with developments in training by participating in training and cross exposures, reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
- Have an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery though e-learning.
- Participate in events and projects as assigned by the Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc/BA in hospitality, business, HR, finance or relevant field
- Proven experience as trainer
- Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
- Willingness to keep abreast of new trends in Hospitality training
- Proficient in MS Office (esp. Powerpoint)
- Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Critical thinking and decision making
- Certification as trainer, MQA approved is a plus
