Technical Officer (ENL Agri LTD)

ENL Agri LTD is currently looking for a Technical officer.

Main Responsibilities:

Agronomist

Perfrm soil analysis and fertilizer recommendations.
Plan, carry out agronomic experiments and analysis.
Liaise with MSIRI and other institutes and bodies.
Conduct experiments or investiogations in field-crop problems and develops new methods of growing crops to secure more efficient production, higher yield, and improved quality.
Compile statistical data and provide analysis.
Liaise with service providers and suppliers for smooth running of business.
Make recommendations to the production team for irrigation activity and water management.

Farm Management

Provide operational assistance to crop and animal production team.
Keep records of Farming Operations, monitor Feed consumption and weight Management Skills.
Ensure that work progresses satisfactorily.
Regular Farm Monitoring and Control.
Ability to work outdoor for long hours on farm.
Assign Farm workers to task such as feeding and treating of animals, cleaning and maintenance o Equipment and Farm Houses.
Plan and prepare work schedules.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Keeping and up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them.
Monitoring animal health and welfare, including liasing with vets.

Qualifications:

Holder of a degree in Agriculture or any relevant field.
Must exhibit technical expertise and have good knowledge in aminal husbandry/farming.
Experience in similar position would be an advantage.
Fluency in both written and spoken English/French languages.
Takes initiatives, is proactive, dynamic, flexible with great problem resolution skills, sound decision making and judgement.
Must be a good team player and be able to work under pressure.
Holder of a valid driving license.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
