Job Summary

 

International growth” and “partnerships” are two cornerstones in the SD Worx strategy.

 

The MultiCountry development unit has been founded to give more focus to the multicountry development and partner integration. The main focus is oriented to building solutions and integrations with payroll/HR systems and partner products.

 

Inter alia:

  • Building an integration platform with public API for SD Worx payroll engines
  • Connecting HR systems
  • Centralized international reporting

 

To succeed in this challenging task we are looking for IT colleagues

 

The Technical Lead will be responsible for delivering the technical aspects on the entire lifecycle of any Product and Project deliveries.

 

 

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide effort estimates and technical assumptions
  • Provide technical deliverables and recommendations
  • Work with the process owners to support project plans
  • Adhere to quality standards and practices
  • Conduct root cause analysis and close complex defects, issues and incidents
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations across workstreams
  • Drive customer satisfaction with high quality service
  • Support knowledge management
  • Deliver technical training
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Primary escalation resource for technical issues
  • Proactively highlight risks, issues and mitigation
  • Seek and positively/constructively respond to development feedback
  • Actively identify and drive process improvements and optimisation
  • Contribute to company best practices and lessons learnt documentation and implementation

 

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervision of other personnel may be required in this position and these include:
    • Provide work direction and guidance to junior team members: ensure accuracy of the work of team members via coaching and reviewing, their ability to operate under deadlines and to work on multiple tasks
    • Provide effective team collaboration to rapidly progress projects
    • Provide training to junior team members
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and capture within the team

 

  • Development
    • Work efficiently on development tasks in accordance with the client and project needs and methodology standards
    • Perform and Manage code reviews to ensure code satisfies design specifications and complies with project standard
    • Assist in developing revisions and log defects/deficiencies
    • Ensure code satisfies design specifications and complies with project standards
    • Fix all detected errors in accordance with agreed schedule
    • Check that effort/schedule estimates are realistic and once committed upon, these are being met.
    • Resolve design problems
    • Ensure documentation completeness
    • Understand and apply development framework

 

 

Educational / Skill / Experience Requirements

  • Education
    • Degree holder in IT/IT related fields

 

  • Skills:
    • Experience in .NET (C#, Proficient on Web Services, Knowledge on oData, REST)
    • Proficient in:

Microsoft System Center

Business Intelligent Tools: Tableau/SSIS/SSAS/SSRS

SSIS - Advanced Importing and ETL

SSAS / Tableau - Intermediate for reporting on Cubes

SSRS - Intermediate knowledge for reporting

  • Domain knowledge on HR or payroll systems would be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Dayforce would be an advantage

 

  • Experience:
    • At least 3-6 years’ experience in software development, testing or support environment
    • Proven knowledge of process methodology
    • Comfortable with software development concepts and lifecycles
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Goof Proficiency in English Communication, Verbal and Written
