System Analyst

You will be responsible for defining the technical specification documentation required to deliver business solutions based on our technology stack (wiCode, WiBlox, Mobile Apps, Websites, USSD) as well as client integration requirements.

Objective

Our business headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, focuses on mobile transacting and the development of payment and loyalty solutions. This posting will be based in Mauritius.

You will be responsible for defining the technical specification documentation required to deliver business solutions based on our technology stack (wiCode, WiBlox, Mobile Apps, Websites, USSD) as well as client integration requirements. You will have a good understanding of business and its requirements as well as the best way these can be translated into technology solutions. In addition, you will be the curator of our knowledge of how our solutions work and the impacts changes to these solutions will have.  You will be part of a team of Testers, Analysts, Developers and DevOps engineers who deliver remarkable solutions to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position reports to the Systems Analyst Competency Lead and will work closely with the Enterprise Systems Solution Architect and Development Leads, as well as 3rd party development consultants.
• Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating build with developers. Technical effort estimation
• A limited provision of technical consultation services to clients
• Designs and documents client product and solution from a technical perspective (ERD, Message flows, API’s, Conceptual and technical architectures)
• Maintains end to end knowledge base on each client’s solution and products
• Technical analysis of business requirements
• Drive innovation by providing mechanisms that foster ideation, assess the potential of emerging technologies, recommend initiatives, monitor the implementation of innovation.
• Manage and understand how client solutions interact with our Platform

Requirements

1. Knowledge

• System Analysis and Design (2 to 6) years experience
• SDLC
• UML
• Mobile Development Experience an advantage
• Web services architectures and patterns
• Business process analysis and translation into technical solutions
• AWS
• Strong understanding of payments/loyalty/coupons/voucher processing
• Retail experience
• Previous java development experience an advantage.

 2. Qualifications

• A Tertiary qualification in IT or other technical discipline
• Systems Analysis or UML Design Certification
• Acted as Systems Analyst in least 2 major IT projects involving development of restful web services.
