Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the distribution sector and provider of renowned brands, is looking for a Senior Stock Accountant/Officer.

Our client, in the distribution sector and provider of renowned brands, is looking for a Senior Stock Accountant/Officer.

Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible to manage a wide range of stock.

Main responsibilities:

Stock

Follow up on stock:

• Daily follow up transfers from stores to shops
• Daily follow up inter shop transfers
• Daily follow up delivery discrepancies (store & shops)
• Daily report of discrepancies to Chief Accountant
• Monthly valuation of discrepancies

• Organise and participate in stock takes and valuation of variances.

• Stock reconciliation - Physical & theoretical - comparisons of two stock systems.

• Creation of Purchase Orders for Stock items.

• Item file management - Creation / modification of stock items.

• Theoretical receipt of stock on stock management systems.

• Valuation of stock purchases.

General accounting

• Booking of general ledger entries in Quickbooks.

• Assist the Chief Accountant in preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Any other tasks as required by the Chief Accountant.

Qualification:

• ACCA level 2 in progress or equivalent studies.
• Extensive experience in retail sector & in stock management.

Candidate profile:

• Knowledge of Excel is a must.
• Knowledge of Sicorax would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Quickbooks would be an advantage.
• Autonomous, reliable, attentive to details.
• Strong leadership skills.
