Senior Java Developer (06286)

The Client is looking to recruit at Senior Java Developer. The candidate should be willing to travel.

Responsibilities:

Software design. 

Technical debt management of technology stack. 

Software and database build. 

Unit and integration testing. 

Code Review. 

Software defect resolution. 

Deployment package creation. 

Problem and incident resolution. 

Building a technical knowledge base of solutions. 

Shows a strong attention to development detail and produces high quality code.  

Ensures that client solution build, deployment and enhancements are delivered on time and to specification both within the initial release and in all subsequent releases.  

Coach and support Junior Java Developers. 

Respond to alerts during and after business hours relating to service outage and or latency issues.  

Escalate issues and engaged appropriate internal and external third part providers until resolution.

Profile:

A Computer Science or Information Systems degree/diploma or 3+ year equivalent experience. 

Java Certification a plus.  

At least 3+ major Java Projects including development of restful web services. 

3+ yers experience working with Oracle relational database and SQL/SQLPlus. 

3+ years solid experience working Java based frameworks.  

3+ years of Object Oriented software design, development and maintenance experience. 

2+ years demonstrated ability to refractor code to correct and or improve performance including writing highly efficient Java code and SQL queries. Willing to travel.  

Core jav, Java EE7, Spring, mySQL, Linux, AWS. 

Application Architecture.  

Retail experience would be a plus. 

Experience in Test Driven Development, Jenkins, SOnar, Maven, Jira, Mock servers, Swagger, continuous integration, unit tests and functional performance monitoring. 

Customer service orientation. Proactive with a sense of urgency. 

Able to manage pressure and deadlines timeously and effectively. 

Logical with a passion of solving problems.
