Senior Financial Controller (To be based in Mali / Morocco)

Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, specialised in network infrastructures, is looking for a Senior Financial Controller, to be based in Morocco or Mali, as per candidate’s preference.

 

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will ensure the financial control on all the operating expenses and various balance sheet items with the aim of an improvement of the productivity while maintaining the organizational flexibility and the necessary operational reactivity.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the conformity and the reliability of all financial statements of the territories of his / her region, produced by local country accounting team, in respect of both local and group standards.
  • Analyze the consistency and accuracy of the margins by business line & client and alert on deviations vs. forecast.
  • Supervise the country reports comments provided by the entities to ensure they are meaningful and sufficient.
  • Oversee and control the establishment of the financial and fiscal statements, including and all concerned statements.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Assist in the budgetary process in connection with the Country Managers & Finance Managers of the entities.
  • Ensure the production of all financial and administrative reporting / requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Implement at regional / local level all projects decided by the group financial Direction, support the COO for ad hoc project (cost reduction program, CAPEX validation etc.).
  • Ensure adequate cash flows to meet the group needs, monitor banking activities, and implement cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage and track the performance, consistently analyze financial data (monthly, quarterly and annual), monitor progress and changes, update forecast. Ensure the coherence between accounting and management reporting.
  • Overseeing the effective collection of company debt, including monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators.
  • Train new staff in SAGE pastel, procedures & Group reporting.
  • Support teams in any query related to accounting and reporting.
  • Ensure local accounting plans are correctly linked to Group accounting plan
  • Ensure fixed assets database are correct
  • Ensure Petty Cash & Bank reconciliation are correct on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all balance items are properly justified and reconciled.

QUALITY, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT MISSION

  • Follow the rules defined in the Environmental Management System,
  • Report any environmental non-compliance identified.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA Business management and/or finance.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Bilingual ACCA qualified candidate is a must
  • Knowledge of SYSCOADA accounting is a must
  • Candidates must be bilingual
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management or other outside partners.
  • Significant experience in team management.
  • Strong interpersonal and business skills.
  • Skills in overall management of activities: management, economics, human resources
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations of security and quality (working conditions, environmental standards, fire safety…)
  • Experiences user in office software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Sage Pastel knowledge is a must.
  • Fluency in English and in French is a big plus.
