Senior Draughtsman (Shopfittings/Joinery)

To supervise the design shop and ‘as built’ drawings

Main duties

• Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD software and other software related and drawings
• Relay information in plan, elevation, and sectional details
• Interpret architectural and designer drawings
• Develop project design briefs and maintain by regular review, update and sign-off with HODs
• Liaise with stakeholders (Project Engineers, Commercial department and HODs) to make sure expectations are being met with regards to design objectives
• Set up and monitor the document control system to ensure efficient transfer & record of documents
• Put in place and monitor a quality control system for all drawings & designs

 Qualifications & Experience

• Technical certificate or diploma in draughtsmanship
• Fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D & 3D
• At least ten years of proven experience in similar position in a contracting environment
• Conversant with all different design techniques related to the discipline in producing as-made, construction and shop drawings for shopfittings factory

 Other Requisites

• Holder of a valid driver license
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
•  Ready to work under pressure to meet sales targets
• Customer service oriented
