QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE - Fully or partly ACCA, ACA qualified or equivalent qualifications (a Degree in Accounting would be an advantage). - At least 3 years’ Accounting experience in the Global Business Sector (Experience in an audit firm, preferably Big Four may be considered)

 

Job Description

  • Preparation of accounting schedule and maintenance of the accounting file,
  • Maintaining proper books of accounts on the relevant accounting systems,
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts and at such frequency as required by clients,
  • Working on complex accounting issues with limited assistance of senior staff,
  • Preparation of accounts under IFRS format,
  • Review of statutory financial statements,
  • To provide on-the-job support to a team of Client Accountants,
  • To monitor the day-to-day management of Clients’ accounts,
  • Prepare audit timetable and agree same with all concerned parties,
  • Ensure financial statements are audited and filed with FSC within statutory deadline,
  • Filing of quarterly report with FSC and preparation of reports for survey,
  • Liaise with clients, auditors and other parties,
  • Preparation and filings of VAT, NPS, PAYE and TDS returns,
  • Gather information and draft reply to queries from MRA from compliance perspective,
  • To adhere and complete all assignments in line with the company standard procedures.

 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Fully or partly ACCA, ACA qualified or equivalent qualifications (a Degree in Accounting would be an advantage).
  • At least 3 years’ Accounting experience in the Global Business Sector (Experience in an audit firm, preferably Big Four shall be considered)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skill

OTHER REQUISITES:

  • Fluent in oral and written English and French.
  • Self- motivated, proactive with team oriented behaviour.
  • Able to handle pressure and prioritise to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS/IAS.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (such as QuickBooks) would be an advantage.
