Our client, a leading international bank, is looking for a Senior Accountant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling of the Bank’s financial and non-financial related matters to assist in planning, decision making and performance management systems.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the monthly compilation, checking and submission of the bank’s management accounts in a timely manner.
• Analysis and reporting on all financial and non-financial related matters.
• Provides technical accounting expertise and interpretation for complex transactions.
• Reviews proposed contracts and other potential transactions and advises finance and business leaders of the accounting implications.
• Maintains existing accounting policies and creates new policies as needed.
• Monitors the activities of accounting standard setting bodies and evaluates the impact on the Company's policies and financial statements in compliance with IFRS and accounting guidelines.
• Ensure the proper accounting of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS rules and guidelines and ensure internal controls are in place.
• You will also perform any cognate duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Bank.

Qualification:

• ACCA qualified.
• At least five years experience in financial/management accounting and reporting is a must for this role.
