To ensure the implementation of and compliance with corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, resort EHS program, improve EHS performance, and ensure resort procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and  duties for this position shall include, but not limited to the following areas and activities, and may be revised from time to time, depending on the business exigencies:

  • Ensure that the Group EHS Policies are implemented consistently across the resort;
  • Plan, implement and coordinate practical EHS programs
  • Lead continuous sustainability improvement initiatives to develop a safe and healthy working culture
  • Carry out regular occupational safety and health audits to identify risks to safety and health
  • Assess the need for preventive measures to safeguard the safety and health of employees and any other person not in the employment of the employer
  • Advise on practicable measures and appropriate techniques to be implemented to minimise any risk
  • Design and implement appropriate training programs to meet the requirements of the risk assessment findings
  • Review any measure, method, procedure or technique adopted to ensure occupational safety and health at regular intervals
  • Recommend appropriate occupational safety and health programs
  • Develop effective communication systems on occupational safety and health between the employer and any employee
  • Inspect all places of work under his responsibility at least once every month and record his findings
  • Exercise adequate supervision to ensure the effective implementation of arrangements made and preventive measures taken
  • Enquire into all complaints made by an employee, occupational accidents and dangerous Occurrences at any place of work, and recommend any safety and health measures to be implemented
  • To compile, write up and manage reports and their timelines and deadlines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a Registered Safety and Health Officer
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Fluent in English and French, both verbal and written
  • Well-Groomed and good appearance
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure
  • First class time-management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
