Restaurant Manager

LUX* Resorts & Hotels is hiring for the position of Restaurant Manager for LUX* Grand Gaube.

 

The successful incumbent will be responsible to:                                    
1)Oversee and direct all the activities of the outlet and maintaining the LUX* Resorts & Hotels' brand reputation.                          
2)Co-ordinate and ensure  the proper management of the outlet and its Team Members by creating a vibrant atmosphere through seamless service and attention to detail.                                                                                                                                                             
3) Communicate with Guests as well as ensure that service quality standards and Guest satisfaction are maintained.                                                                                  
4) Develop knowledge and competencies of subordinates by providing on-the-job training, coaching and as well as conducting  performance appraisals.                                                                                                 
5) Participate in the preparation of budgets and managing the costs of the outlet's operations.       
 
QUALIFICATIONS:         
1) At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
2) National Certificate Level 4 or 5 in Restaurant Operations or equivalent qualifications.
3) Tertiary education at Advanced Certificate or Diploma level majoring in Hospitality Management from a recognised institution or equivalent qualifications.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
1) A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the hospitality industry.                                                                   
2) A minimum of 2 years of working experience as Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager (Restaurant) in a star resort.
 
OTHER QUALIFCATIONS:
1) Passionate about service.                                                                       
2) High level of integrity.                                                                                    
3) Strong team management and leadership skills in order to lead, motivate and develop subordinates.
4)Dynamic, flexible and professional attitude.
5)Outstanding customer service skills.
6)Creative and innovative skills.
7)Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.                                                                                                              
8) A keen eye for detail.
9)Excellent written and communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language would be a definite advantage.                                                                
10)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.                                                                                                                                   
11) Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on Public Holidays.
12) Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
13) A clean certificate of character is a must.
