To handle guest luggage on arrival, departure and during stay in an efficient manner.

 

 

Tamassa is hiring for the position of Porter

 

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful incumbent will be accountable to: 

 

•             Actively participates in the provision of excellent service to guests.

 

•             Cordially welcomes guests on their arrivals and opens car doors.

 

•             Converses with guests to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement.

 

•             Guides guests towards service outlets as and when requested.

 

•             Answers telephone calls in Front Office area when requested.

 

•             Handles customer complaints efficiently through appropriate interaction and/or referral to the Front Office Manager.

 

•             Provides any required information, facilities to educational tours and to supply customers with hotel features.

 

•             Oversees that effective assistance is being provided to guests during check-in and check-out.

 

•             Ensures that maximum security is given to items left at the front office by guests.

 

•             Unload guest’s luggage from vehicle and fills-in and attaches luggage tags for identification.

 

•             Delivers luggage to guest’s room and collects guest’s luggage from his room on departure.

 

•             Keeps record and is responsible for all luggage and other item kept in luggage room or luggage store.

 

•             Help carry luggage during guests stay and room change.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • NTC3 in Hotel Management

 

 

 

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

 

  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar position preferably in a 5 star resort.

 

 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High levels of integrity.
  • Passionate about service.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language will be a definite advantage.
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on public holidays.
  • Valid driving license is an advantage
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
