Payroll Manager (Payroll Outsourcing)

The Payroll Manager will ensure that payroll operations are run smoothly and within set deadlines, in line with our clients ‘scope of work.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor & deliver against customer scope of work (including continuous review) 
  • Lead continuous process improvement 
  • Co-ordinate with Global Payroll Team
  • Manage operational issues/incidents- analyse root causes and foresees remediation plans
  • Collaborate with Director/s to create, maintain and improve standard operating procedures for payroll
  • Write and submit reports in a timely manner to management
  • Manage business relationship with Partners
  • Direct, administer and coordinate the internal operational activities in accordance with established policies, goals and objectives
  • Provide weekly / monthly performance reviews of employees’ productivity
  • ·Manage team and identify training and development 
  • ·Provide day to day coaching to Payroll Seniors
  • Manage performance appraisals for employees including employee goal setting and personal growth plan

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance or Computer Science
  • 5 years+ experience in Payroll, preferably in the field of Payroll Outsourcing
  • 3 years+ experience in supervising/leading teams
  • Experience in automating analytical processes
  • Working knowledge of advanced Excel and similar spread sheets including v-look ups and macros, SQL and/or other database technology tools, Visio & MS Project knowledge

  • ·Ability to work from 0900hrs to 1800hrs (UK TIME)
  • ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • ·Client Centric
  • ·Strong analytical skills
  • ·Strong team player and contributor but also ability to work independently
  • ·Good people management skills
  • ·Able to build effective working relationships with users from different functional areas
  • ·Able to multitask and manage a fluctuating workload
  • · Excellent organisational and presentation skills

The following would be an advantage:

  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and lead a payroll team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll services
  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) or similar professional certification
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • International Exposure
  • MQA Registration as Trainer
