Casela Ltd. is looking for a highly-motivated and skilled candidate on a full-time basis for the post of Pastry Chef
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Visually inspect appearance of all cold food for proper color combination and overall. Presentation to maintain appeal.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus.
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within work area.
- Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
- Assist with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used and unused portions, product shortages, and inform the Kitchen chef when supplies are low.
- Ensure proper storage of all pastry items in refrigerators and freezers to maintain product freshness.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned by Culinary Service Director
- Perform any other cognate duties as assigned by management
Candidate’s Profile
- Hold at least School certificate and NTC 3 with minimum 5 years’ experience
- Thorough knowledge of pastry and dessert.
- Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Good Organization and planning skills.
- Creative, innovation and passionate.
- Be flexible and ready to work odd hours.
