Mixologist

LUX* Resorts & Hotels is hiring for the position of Mixologist for LUX* Grand Gaube.

  The successful incumbent will be responsible to:
1)  Prepare, mix and serve new alcoholic and non-alcoholic  beverages whilst demonstrating high levels of mixology knowledge.                                                   

2)  Conduct tasting panels of new beverages and organise cocktail sessions to the Guests.                                                                                   

3) Communicate with Guests as well as ensure that service quality standards and Guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.                                                                                                                                                                    

4) Develop knowledge and competencies of subordinates by providing on-the-job training and coaching.                                                                                                                                                                                

5) Maintain an appealing display and "mise en place" of the outlet(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

1) At least  School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
2) National Certificate Level 3  in  Bar Operations  or equivalent qualifications.

EXPERIENCES

1) A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the hospitality industry.                                                                

2) A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Bar operations in a 4 or 5 star resort.

3) Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

4) Well versed in cocktail preparation and techniques.                                                                   

5)Outstanding customer service skills.

6) Creative and innovative skills.

7) Strong ability to work as a team player.

8) Good communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language will be a definite advantage.

9) Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.

10)Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends and public holidays.

11)A clean certificate of character is a must.
