Textile Industry is looking for two Laboratory Technicians to work in its Dyeing and Quality Assurance Department.

 

Dyeing Laboratory Technician

  1. Ensure that dyes combination, process and salt is according to standard procedures
  2. Weigh and prepare sample fabric to be dyed according to client requirement
  3. Ensure to organise and plan matching of colours as per planning
  4. Dispense colour by using our technorama machine
  5. Ensure that the lab card is submitted to the Laboratory clerk on a daily basis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Knowledge of Datacolor
  • Knowhow of Technorama dispensing machine
  • Accuracy in dispensing chemical ingredient

Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician

  1. Ensure that testing is done on fabric according to customer procedures within 12 hours
  2. Ensure to record correct results from all laboratory test done  
  3. Ensure proper data entry on system     
  4. Ensure that the right sample/fabrics  are conditioned correctly prior to testing
  5. Participate in quality reporting and quality audit by external auditors
  6. Ensure to maintain a proper filing of document
  7. Report any anomalies to the Lab Managers regarding quality issues
  8. Responsible to maintain correct recording of all samples checked.                                                                                       

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: 

  • Sound understanding of Textile fibres, yarn, knitting, dyeing, finishing and testing of fabrics
  • Chemical Technical competencies
  • Meticulous and detail- oriented
  • Systematics and organised
  • Good analytical and functional skills
  • Flexible and Reliable
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a group and be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Should be professional and accountable for own work
  • Fully computer literate

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Candidate should have a degree in Chemistry or any recognized qualification acceptable to the company
  • Candidate should hold an HSC with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
  • Experience as laboratory technician would be an advantage
  • Candidate with a textile experience will be given consideration
