KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To inform the Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or Bar Supervisor of any complaints or any other problems that may arise.
To undertake any other duties assigned from time to time by the Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or Bar Supervisor
To maintain effective and cordial Guests relations and to take the initiative to achieve service excellence.
To converse with guests whenever possible to obtain feedback and suggestion for improvement.
To promote sales of Food and Beverages and Theme night
Prepared to work long and odd hours, public holidays, Sundays, standing and walking are routine components of the job.
To ensure good work relations with other departments in the hotel
Receivers instructions from superiors e.g. Managers concerning the daily planning of the outlet that he/she is assigned to work for.
Ensures cleanliness of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Ensures a speedy, courteous, efficient and friendly service to our guests.
Ensures that bills are presented, signed or paid by guests and returned to the cashier.
Ensures that all rules concerning the Billing and Ordering are adhered to.
Supervises guides coaches and trains subordinates in Bar
Has full knowledge of the wine list and drink list.
Properly handles all materials and equipment to avoid breakage.
Properly utilizes all the materials and equipment made available to the section and participates in inventories
Reports bad functioning of utilities such as lights, fans and toilets and reports to superior for any repair or defect.
Attends daily briefing
Adheres to the hotel’s rules and regulations.
All requisition must be ordered accordingly by ‘Par-stock’
Must assign cash bill, as soon as possible within five minutes, after receiving from waiters or guests
Serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
Draw beer from the tap or pour from bottles
Mix ingredients to make cocktails
Prepare and serve a variety of coffees
Replenish drink and cigarette dispensers
Collect glasses from tables and place them in dishwashing machines
Wipe down tables and empty ashtrays
Arrange bottles and glasses on shelves
Clean bar service area
Assist in stock control
Observe workplace hygiene, occupational health an safety and security procedures
