A Junior Associate in an International Law Firm, you will provide tax compliance services for our Belgian clients and legal consulting for companies with activities throughout Africa.
Joyn Legal is an International Law Firm, opening a new office in Mauritius under a Global Legal Advisory License granted by the FSC. Our Mauritius office will be in charge of our African Desk and of our international tax compliance business.
We are currently looking for 4 Junior Associates to staff our new office in Mauritius. Interviews will be held during the first week of April and appropriate training will be given during the second week of April.
During the first year, you will mainly provide tax compliance services. You will receive information on the stock transactions made by our private clients, you will analyse such transactions and classify them into the appropriate category of the tax return.
Further on, you will be involved with our corporate clients developping their activities in Africa.
The ideal candidate should have a legal degree and a basic knowledge of stock exchange securities. Knowledge of African treaties such as OHADA, COMESA or SADC is a plus.
