The role of the IT Trainee is to Help our IT helpdesk reducing their workload by taking ownership of their administrative and redundant tasks.
Respond promptly to incoming requests and reports from the client via tickets, phone or email
Open tracking tickets for Service Requests, Incidents and Problems
Provide first response to customer interaction
Undertake an initial assessment of incoming events, answer and resolve them as 1st level support where applicable or assign tickets to the appropriate person or team.
Ensure follow up of tickets, interact with various teams to make sure all deadlines are met.
Assist the IT department with administrative tasks.
Responsible for timely handling of requests for ‘Onboarding ’ and ‘Offboarding’ of users
Daily verification of backup
Assist in the documentation of processes, procedures, technical specifications and work instructions as per established standards.
Install, configure and test new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
Provide basic support, preventive maintenance and follow up of IT equipment.
Inventory Follow up and reconciliation
Follow up of software licences
