Gardener/Maintenance

Maintain gardens, paths, lawns, trees, shrubs and plants by pruning, trimming, and other gardening techniques. Carry out check repairs, maintenance of electrical wiring, electrical or electronic equipment; and any new installation of electrical system. Replaces faulty electrical apparatus.

• Inspect lawns and all other plants for problems and apply fertilizers, fungicides, weed killers, and other chemicals to control pests and diseases.
• To maintain all equipment (incl. Safety equipment) in good working conditions at all times, and attend to any minor repairs that need to be done
• Keep all parking lots, and other public spaces of the hotel cleaned and free of litter.
• Manual racking of the beach, and collection of seaweeds and any other rubbish on the beach on a daily basis.
• Landscape areas, prepare soil and plants garden.
• Feed and water the flowering plants and trees and mow and water the lawn.
• Place concrete slaps on the ground to create pathways.
• Clean and empty all dustbins and ashtrays found on the beach and on the grounds of the hotel.
• Daily alignment and setting up of sun beds along the beach and the swimming pool.
• Knowing the purpose and handling of each tool, equipment and chemical used in the Gardening Department.
• Check temperature & water leakage on boilers. Check water pump if there is no leakage in pump room.
• Unclogging drains
• Daily cleaning of swimming pool, and keeping “Pumps Room” clean and tidy at all times.
• Daily check of chlorine and PH (acid/ alkaline) level, and recording in appropriate logbook of quantity of product used.
• Daily check of swimming pool submersible lights (for fused bulb/s), and replacement of any bulb if necessary.
