To supervise handymen, security officers, cleaning personnel, messengers and building contractors. To prepare time schedules, verify certificates/invoices of payment, monitor maintenance work and implement health and safety measures at work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and contractors on the premises.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop, implement and follow-up the maintenance plans.
- Supervise security officers and arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g., alarms, security cameras).
- Monitor activities such as housekeeping, proper waste disposal and recycling.
- Keep track of regular and ad-hoc facility expenses.
- Conduct market research and compare costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors.
- Research new services, appropriate appliances to facilitate operations.
- Liaise with suppliers for the purchase of materials.
Requirements
- Diploma in Building Services Engineering or BEng Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least five (5) years of work experience as a Facilities Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management operations.
- Familiarity with office equipment and security systems.
- Understanding of safety regulations in offices.
- Well-organized or sound negotiation skills.
- Sound judgement and the ability to think quickly during emergencies.
