One of our client is seeking to recruit a Director of Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
. The Director of Sales and Marketing oversees the day to day sales efforts and is responsible for the overall positioning of the hotel.
. Develops, implements, and keeps current the Marketing Plan, Marketing Manual, Events Management Process Manual, Revenue Management Manual and Distribution and Reservations Manual
. Maintains awareness of current and future competitor product, pricing and marketing programs so as to be in a position to proactively respond to market conditions.
. Establishes priorities and objectives for all Sales and Marketing functions, monitoring functions and adjusting resources as deemed necessary in order to develop marketing leadership and optimal productivity.
. Keeps abreast of the current and future trends of offline, online, above the line and below the line marketing technologies, channels of distribution, and airline capacities to destinations taking these opportunities to obtain
. Attend selected trade shows, conventions and industry events with the objective to better understand a particular geographic market, market segments or other developments.
. Works closely with the Director of Revenue Management /Revenue Manager, DOS and DOBD in developing competitive rates/pricing structure for the hotel with the objective of maximizing revenue opportunities
. Establishes and implements training programs to improve performance and effectiveness of Marketing personnel as guided by SLIM.
. Keeps an up to date Succession Plan and ensure that the training requirements for the candidates are carried out accordingly.
. Directs and coordinates the activities of the sales, events management, online marketing, traditional communications and public relations to maximize generation of overall hotel revenues.
. Maintains active communication with and build teamwork amongst sales, events management, revenue management, online marketing and distribution, communications and reservations personnel.
Profile:
5 years at Senior Management level in luxury hospitality environment
. Degree in Marketing/Hotel Management or related field
