Our client is recruiting a Corporate finance officer

Mission:

The Corporate finance officer will be responsible to maintain the accounting records of a number of group entities and support the Group Finance Team in the preparation of required information for interim and year end audits and statutory reporting. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of IFRSs and be familiar with group reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day accounting of a number of group entities.
  • Manage the month end close process including preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments and reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports in line with group reporting deadlines.
  • Assist in the interim and annual audits of group entities.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll and filing of taxes thereof.
  • Review group reporting packs to ensure consistency and accurate mapping and assist with consolidation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts.
  • Assist with group treasury and working capital management including capex control.
  • Monitor the management accounts of group entities and liaise with finance managers to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support the on-going development and improvement of the financial reporting process across the group.
  • Assist with any other group finance related tasks and ad hoc projects from time to time.

Qualifications and experience

  • A degree in accounting, finance or related field. Part-qualified (ACCA or equivalent) is considered a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of financial and accounting procedures. Experience in auditing is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Working experience with an ERP would be an advantage.
