Our client is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer.

 

Responsibilities

. Conducting in depth customer due diligence checks of all entities and individual clients;

. Conducting screening procedures on entities and individuals; acuity checks, world checks, and google checks and independent checks;

. Verification of equivalent and non-equivalent jurisdictions / high risk countries of entities/individuals;

. Reviewing/drafting of documents, agreements and contracts from a legal and compliance perspective;

. Liaising with the authorities such as the Financial Services Commission and other relevant statutory bodies and be up to date with the websites of the FSC and other related institutions to be aware of any changes in regulations or rules as and when applicable;

. Reporting to the Board of Directors/Committee of board on any material breaches of internal anti money laundering/combatting Financial Terrorism; AML and CFT policy and procedures;

. Preparing reports annually and such other periodic reports which covers: adequacy and shortcomings of internal controls and other AML and CFT procedures implemented; recommendations to remedy the deficiencies identified; number of internal reports made by the staff; number of reports made to the FIU;

. Properly evaluate and investigate internal suspicious transaction reports;

. Planning Anti Money Laundering training sessions internal for the junior; senior; management level and Board of Directors and maintaining a training register file for further reference;

. Verification of company s bank accounts and ensure that supporting documents are to the satisfaction of the transaction. Ensure that the bank transactions of the company are in line with its business activity

Profile:

. Degree in Law and Management; LLB Graduate

. 4 to 5 years experience as Compliance Officer in the Global Business Sector

. Computer Literate: word and excel

. Good communication skills

. Have the ability to meet tight deadlines

. Be organised, committed with strong analytical and client relation skills

. Be team orientated
