Chief Security Officer (06517)

The Chief Security Officer will need to ensure the Security and Safety of the guests and associates

Responsibilities:
. To assist in the preparation the departmental budget in conjunction with the Human Resources and Learning Manager.
. To make suggestions in order to increase and improve departmental performance, and to ensure departmental budget is adhered to.
. To supervise, and if necessary, discipline employees under direct control.
. To report sickness or misconduct of Security Team to the Human Resources and Learning Manager.
.To conduct training for new and existing employees as directed, to report all activities to immediate supervisor on a monthly basis and to keep accurate departmental records of all training conducted.
. To ensure that all department reports and correspondence are complete accurately and punctually
. Protect property and provide a safe environment for guests and staff. 
. Coordinate job assignments and ensure that each officer is briefed on the day s activities. 
. Compile information and file written reports. 
. Assign duties and schedule staff, balancing needs of company and productivity standards. 
. Monitor staff activity and coach subordinate performance. 
. Enforce company safety standards.
. Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by General Manager.
. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, the security manager may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company. 
. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. 

Profile:

HSC; Security Courses asa approved by the Mauritius Police Force; Certificate in Risk Management and or Securiy
. 3 to 5 years experience in Security work
. Knowledge of criminal offences and law
.Proficiency in word processing
. Excellent interpersonal skills
