COST ANALYST

Amaris is looking for a Cost Analyst with Cost systems background and excellent analytical skills within a Manufacturing Environment

Job Description

• Plan, study and collect data to determine cost of business activity
• Analyze data collected and record results
• Analyze changes in product design to determine effects on cost
• Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard to actual costs
• Record cost information to use in controlling expenditures
• Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports
• Make estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
• Maintain Cost Accounting System
• Assist in month end close of the General Ledger
• Conduct physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
• Reconcile inventories

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
• Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills
• Sound understanding of accounting principals
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with working with a ERP is an advantage
• Ability to accurately prepare various periodic reports
• Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
