RESPONSIBILITIES
•Receive instructions from the superiors about the daily planning and organization.
•Handing over: takes over charge of bars from outgoing barman, checking accuracy of stock, following the handling over procedure establish by the hotel.
•Make requisition for store for replenishment of stock to guarantee supplies. Requisition must get approval of superiors and all out of stock item must be reported to immediate superior.
•Performs the mise-en-place and cleanliness of the bar areas, equipment, furniture, display bottles, cutting fruits for cocktails, preparing tea and coffee service.
•Checks the mise-en-place of cold beverages as well as the stock of ice cubes, thus ensuring the readiness of the outlet to welcome the first guests.
•Welcomes the guests at the bar counter with a smile, present bar lists, take orders, advice guests in their choice, provide bar service by entertaining guests at bar counter.
•Provides a punctual, fast and regular service by respecting the Hotel Quality Standard service.
•Converses with guests at bar counter, courteously, obtains feedback and suggestions for improvement and reports any complaint regarding the service to immediate superior.
•Converses with guests on quality of service and food and get suggestion, if any for improvement.
•Verifies quantity and quality of requisition supplies received from storekeeper to ensure conformity with requisition list.
•Verifies the cleanliness of the work place, equipment, mise-en-place and the tidiness of the lower ranking personal.
•Make sure that all rules concerning ordering and billing are respected.
•Uses properly all the equipment and materials made available to the bar and participates in the inventory taking.
•Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
