Management of day to day Accounting, Treasury and payroll operations and supervise, train and support the Finance team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Finance team and report to the Finance Manager
- Supervise and review of all Accounting/Financial Reporting work, Payroll responsibilities and Treasury related tasks
- Ability to critically review/improve on existing business processes while maintaining checks and balances control
- Oversee and manage the annual statutory audit process until filing of accounts with as per set deadlines
- Assisting with statutes/laws/regulations and general research into regulatory frameworks. Liaising with Group Legal and Compliance Department for agreements drafting and vetting
- Ensuring that Group policies are adhered to at all times with strict focus on internal controls
- Handling queries from major stakeholders
- Act as the main point of contact for the local management company for all ERG businesses managed across Mauritius and other offshore jurisdictions
- Manage Projects as and when required and provide ad-hoc assistance to the Finance Manager and other people within the Group
- Assist with Staff Recruitment and Training
Competencies:
- Broad knowledge of the Global Business environment/regulations/laws
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience on Accounting packages/banking platforms/Payroll softwares
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree Holder in Finance, Accounting or Banking or ACCA Affiliate / Member (minimum level 3/professional level)
- At least 5 years’ experience within the global business sector with good exposure within administration and accounting departments
- Proven experience in team management
- Understanding of the African business environment will be a definite advantage
